Some of the most beautiful and romantic music in the world is the music from Brazil. Samba, Bossa Nova, and other musical styles emanate from this part of the world. It has had an immeasurable impact and influence in and on America’s music.

Some of the first music I heard, learned, was influenced by and loved as a young musician was the music of Stan Getz on tenor saxophone ( esp.”Girl From Ipanema” “Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars” “Meditation” and more) and Herbie Mann on flute (esp “One Note Samba” ).
